Spotlight: Our Lady Star of the Sea

When Our Lady Star of the Sea in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, began looking for furniture, they turned to Sauder Worship Seating. Working with Senior Sales Consultant Doug Graber, they were able to complete a beautiful installation!

When first entering the church, a sense of warmth and a place of community surrounds you. Sauder Worship Seating created a “worship-in-the-round” experience for churchgoers with the launch of Radiance Curved Pews in 2013. With churches more interested in an intimate setting and building more robust engagement during masses, this seating style helps facilitate this desired connection.

Walking down the aisle, you’ll see visually appealing pew ends. These ends create clean aisle lines and accent the stunning architecture within the church walls.

The upholstered seat and wood back curved pews feature a contoured, ergonomically correct seat that provides long-term support and comfort. Our Lady Star of the Sea chose Tahoe Fiji Midnight fabric for pews and chairs. The color and design complements the aesthetics in worship space. The kneelers also feature the Tahoe Fiji Midnight fabric, and Sauder Worship kneelers being the most comfortable kneeler in the market. The comfort comes from the molded foam used, which provides a softer, more comprehensive, and more comfortable cushion for your knees. An advantage is it offers even greater retention of firmness over time, allowing kneelers to stay looking fresh. Whether you need a place for hymnals or books, bookracks can be added for convenient storage and within reach to participate during mass.

Looking forward to the altar, you’ll see a hanging crucifix and custom Presider chairs. You can find Oaklok chairs with kneelers throughout the sanctuary.

When you are driving in and parking you will be greeted by the beautiful stained glass and stunning detail-work on the flooring and surrounding marble pieces. Our Lady Star of the Sea is a gorgeous worship space that will fill you with a sense of belonging.
