Outside of work, Toby enjoys running, occasionally competing in local races. He and his wife, Kristin, have been married for 25 years and have two daughters, Libby (Auburn University graduate) and Caroline (college sophomore). The family enjoys beach trips between Pensacola and Gulf Shores, and spending time at Lake Martin.

Career Background

Toby began his career as a middle school teacher but transitioned to sales, working in the coffee and beverage industry before joining Sauder Worship Seating.

His Approach

Toby enjoys traveling, meeting new people, and building trust with customers to find the best seating solutions. He’s worked with diverse worship facilities, from contemporary to traditional, liturgical, synagogues, funeral homes, hospitals, and military applications. He emphasizes collaboration with the Sauder team to meet project goals.

Favorite Product

Toby’s favorite product is the Clarity and Vista auditorium seating due to its simple, low-maintenance design. He highlights its easy disassembly for cleaning or fabric replacement.

Success Story

Toby recalls the Franklin Avenue Baptist Church in New Orleans. After Hurricane Katrina damaged their original Sauder pews, Sauder provided the original plans to aid renovations. The church later expanded, choosing Clarity seats for their new campus, highlighting the interchangeable design of Sauder parts.
